WOW. Basically Ariza's manager thought he was a badass and talked way too much so the Lakers let Ariza go. Artest was the man in their back pocket. Kobe wanted Artest anyway, because Artest is to Kobe what Rodman was to Jordan. Even though Kobe wanted Artest, it wasn't like a ' GET THE F* OUTTA HERE ARIZA! '. Kobe didn't want to just let Ariza go, because Ariza was a help in this year's success. But Ariza on another team? The Rockets? Just another player....
